A new year, a new sprocket. This T5 with 128 teeth is the beginning of a new era.
Earlier attempts at this sprocket were a solid disk, then I added some dynamically scaled holes to create the spokes and reduce filament usage.
Busy "little" buddy.
This 128 tooth T5 sprocket was printed on a
Type A Machines Series 1. At nearly 200mm in diameter, this gear is simply too large for most 3d printers. The max XY speed was reduced to 100mm/s in the firmware (Marlin). This greatly improved the print reliability and quality. Slic3r was used with a 0.2mm layer height and 0.5 line fill pattern.
Droftarts'
OpenScad Script was used to generate the gears. I've made some changes to this script to generate spoke holes and to correct the geometry for large diameter sprockets.
